It's the academic off season. The perfect time for students to train for their respective sports, soak up the sun, and save money working a part time job. These activities play an important role in student development outside of the classroom and should be encouraged, however one development opportunity that's often overlooked is training for the ACT. If you have a student planning on attending college in the next few years, their taking of the test is inevitable. The ACT is offered throughout the year, and while school is in it's particularly tough to balance all of the activities while prepping for the exam. Summer offers a nice window to practice and perform at a high level on the test.

Private tutoring makes this easier than ever by offering flexible scheduling that adapts to student's summer plans, and the convenience of meeting one on one in person or online. Weekly meetings for a couple of hours at a time keep training consistent, while allowing for plenty of time for other commitments. As your students plan out there test date, consider the summer as it offers a nice opportunity for preparation.
